Meet Rebecca Mohaleamalla, our dedicated animal caretaker at SanWild’s rehabilitation center and head of housekeeping at the Lodge. With over 23 years of experience, Rebecca has been with SanWild since the beginning, working closely with founder Louise Joubert. She knows exactly what each orphaned or injured animal needs, earning her the affectionate title of “mother to all our orphans.”

Rebecca hails from the famous village of Modjadji, home to the legendary Rain Queen and the rare Modjadji cycad forests. We are incredibly fortunate to have her as a vital part of our team, caring for our animals and overseeing the Lodge with love and expertise.
