Lizel Kachelhoffer, one of the trustees of SanWild and the daughter of the late Louise Joubert, is dedicated to continuing her mother’s remarkable legacy. Lizel’s love for wildlife conservation drives SanWild’s mission.

Working alongside a passionate management team—Didi Schoeman (Chairman and Trustee), Michelle Picolo (Head of HR), and Lukas (Sanctuary Manager)—they’ve played a key role in revitalising SanWild. Together, they ensure the sanctuary remains a safe haven for Africa’s most vulnerable species. United by their deep love for wildlife and their commitment to honouring Louise’s vision, they’re dedicated to making SanWild the best possible home for rescued and relocated animals.
