Mulato’s “still” shaking things up! 🐘🌳 Mulato’s “still” shaking things up! 🐘🌳

Luckily, it’s just a tree this time, but our naughty boy has been keeping us on our toes these past few days. Between breaking fences, chasing lions, and now testing our new electric wires (which thankfully seems to be working), he’s living up to his name (trouble in Sotho) with style! 🙈 Thank goodness our other elephants aren’t this mischievous! 😉🐘

Huge thanks to everyone following the chaos and offering to help—you’re the real MVPs. Here’s to more laughs and (hopefully) fewer fence repairs in the new year! 🎉

Mulato’s New Year Antics 🐘💥 What a way to Mulato’s New Year Antics 🐘💥

What a way to start the year! Mulato decided to kick things off with some wild adventures—breaking into the cheetah enclosure on Friday and then taking down all the fences around the lion enclosures on Sunday! 😱

Cue chaos: rescued lions and hyenas in the wrong spaces, two hyenas on the run, and our team on high alert. Thankfully, everyone (animals and humans) is safe and sound.

We even caught Mulato on camera as he casually strolled out of one of the lion enclosures, carefully avoiding the electric wires—like the clever boy he is. Never a dull moment at SanWild! 🙈

🌟 Happy New Year, 2025! 🌟 As we step into a 🌟 Happy New Year, 2025! 🌟

As we step into a brand-new year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact you—our supporters, friends, and wildlife warriors—have made. Your unwavering dedication has been the heartbeat of SanWild, and we are profoundly grateful for every donation, kind word, and effort you’ve contributed to keep Louise’s legacy alive.

Thanks to your love and support, we’ve been able to protect rhinos, lions, cheetahs, and countless other species, providing them with a safe haven and a brighter future. Together, we’ve achieved so much, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

In 2025, we look forward to continuing this important journey with you by our side. With your help, we’ll take on new challenges, grow stronger, and create even more success stories in honour of Louise’s dream of a better world for wildlife.

From all of us at SanWild, thank you for being the light that guides our mission. Wishing you a joyful, peaceful, and prosperous New Year filled with love, laughter, and wild adventures! 🦏🦁🐾

With love and gratitude,

We’re thrilled to share the success of our first SanWild Outreach initiative—the Santa Shoebox Project! 🎁 Thanks to the generosity of so many, we brought smiles to the children of Amogelang Daycare.

Special thanks to Lowveld PPE Solutions & Creative Embroidery for the adorable T-shirts and Khayelitsha Cookies for the sweet treats! 🍪 Huge gratitude to our volunteers & students and our incredible team—Sue, Elzanne, Junel, Jakob, and Christelle—for your hard work in making this happen. 🙏

We’re excited to use extra funds to improve Amogelang Daycare with a new bathroom door and fans for the classroom. 🌱

Next year, we’ll begin planning educational school trips to SanWild and the Plant a Tree Project to bring shade to the daycare. Every act of kindness makes a difference. Thank you for being part of this journey! 💚
